In October of 2000, Braccialini stepped into the Mariella Burani Fashion Group, a true luxury pole. With that, the Company could take advantage of the synergy offered by one of the most dynamic players on the fashion field, allowing it to constantly grow and expand its vision and markets, reaching out to every corner of the planet. The steps taken by the Company, like the establishment of the Antichi Pellettieri holding, the direct management of proprietary trademarks (Braccialini, Tua by Braccialini) and of the trademarks for which it acts as licensee (Gherardini, Vivienne Westwood, Looney Tunes and AmazonLife), enabled Braccialini to play an ever more meaningful role in the top level leather sector.
The Braccialini family is still an important shareholder of Braccialini Srl and totally involved in the management of the Company.
On August the private equity fund 3i announced the acquisition of a 49% stake of the newly constituted AP Bags Srl (51% Antichi Pellettieri - 49% 3i) controlling Braccialini Srl, its subsidiary Dadorosa Srl (Gherardini brand) and all the other leather goods Companies.
The substantial injection of capital provided by 3i will sustain Antichi Pellettieri’s strategy to fully develop the unexpressed potential of its handbag and accessories brands by consolidating the company’s leadership in the Italian affordable luxury sector and by strengthening its presence in emerging Asian markets.
